For Brilliant Directories owners

BD runs the directory. Leadout drives it.

Your listings, your plans and your billing stay exactly where they are. Your directory was never built to text a member, wait three days and try again, chase a renewal that bounced, or answer a buyer at ten at night — so all of that lands on you. This takes it off you.

01 — Credit where it's due

We're not here to replace your directory.

Six things BD already does well. We touch none of them, and you don't pay us twice for any of them. Your billing stays in BD, your listings stay in BD, your site stays your site.

Segmented newsletters, with opens and clicks Forty-odd triggered emails, with instant-login links nothing else can generate Billing reminders — one before it's due, three after Lead matching, and pay-per-lead if you sell them Review-request buttons and profile analytics Smart Lists for anything you can filter on Everything below is only the things that aren't in there
02 — Where it stops

Eight things it can't do.

Every one of them ends up being done by a person, and the person is you. Same shape each time: what it costs you today, and what happens once something else has it.

01

It can't chase money that didn't arrive.

Today

A failed renewal gets emails, then silence. Whether it was ever recovered is something you'd have to go and check, member by member.

Instead

Text and email from the day it bounces, until it's fixed or you call it. Recovered renewals are the fastest money here, and the only work is reading the number.

02

It can't wait three days and try again.

Today

One email fires and that's the end of it. BD's own blog puts it plainly: its tools are “not suitable for creating drip email campaigns with time delays.” The second attempt is you, remembering.

Instead

Welcome, renewal chase, lead nudge, win-back, upgrade pitch — twelve of them, running whether or not you thought about it that week. Each one stops the moment it has worked, so nobody gets chased for something they already did. Everything else on this list is this, pointed at a different problem.

03

It can't send a message.

Today

Not a text, not a WhatsApp, not a Facebook or Instagram reply. Email is the only way your site can reach anybody, and it only ever goes one way.

Instead

Texts, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and webchat, all landing in one thread per person. The member who replies on Instagram and the buyer who texts stop being two different places you have to remember to check.

04

It can't tell you who's about to leave.

Today

A Smart List is a filter. It tells you who matches something; it never tells you who moved, or which way, or that a good member has gone quiet.

Instead

Two boards — one for winning members, one for keeping them, with an At Risk column that fills itself from the quiet ones. Nobody drags a card; your site moves them.

05

It can't answer a question.

Today

A buyer who wants to know who supplies a brand in their state has a search box and their own patience. If they run out, they leave, and you never knew they were there.

Instead

An assistant that answers with your members, by name. It re-reads your directory, so a business that joined this morning is in tonight's answers — and it won't hand out a phone number or email, so the enquiry still comes through you.

06

It can't protect your sending reputation.

Today

Your newsletter goes out on a reputation you share with every other directory on the platform. Somebody else's bounce rate is quietly your problem, and access can be pulled over it.

Instead

Your own sending domain, warmed up properly, answerable to nobody's behavior but yours. Nothing to learn and nothing to do; it just stops being a risk you were carrying.

07

It can't keep itself looking alive.

Today

Nothing gets posted unless you write it, nothing gets shared unless you share it. A directory that hasn't posted since March looks abandoned to a member deciding whether to renew.

Instead

Trade news researched, written and published under your masthead on a schedule, and your members' own posts pushed out on the directory's channels. Every claim traced to a primary source; anything unconfirmed gets held, not hedged. You approve, you don't write.

08

It can't take a phone call.

Today

The directory has no number. Which leaves two options, and you've picked one: publish your personal cell, or let nobody call at all.

Instead

A number of its own that rings in an app, not on your private line. Miss one and it texts back by itself. Hand the directory on one day and the number goes with it.

Eight gaps, one bill, nothing to install. Your directory carries on doing the six things it's good at.
03 — The engine

One machine, pointed at eight problems.

Here it is pointed at the one that pays for itself fastest — a renewal that didn't go through. You don't build this, and you don't watch it. You read the result.

Renewal recovery Running
When A member's renewal payment fails
Day 0 SMS Card declined — here's the fix Sent
Day 1 Email Your listing is still live Sent
Day 3 SMS Second attempt on the card Sent
Day 4 — Paid Stops here
Day 7 Your board Call them yourself Never ran
Day 10 Email Final notice before suspension Never ran
It stopped itself on day four — nobody chased a member who had already paid
Twelve of these come installed. Six run from the first day.

Welcome, renewal chase, lead nudge, win-back, upgrade pitch, review request. Swap the trigger and the same machine answers a different gap on that list — which is why there's one bill rather than eight.

04 — On your phone

None of it needs you at a desk.

Your directory's own app tells you what happened — members, payments, form submissions. This one is where you do something about it. A thing you have to open a laptop for is a thing that waits until Sunday.

Which is also the honest answer to is this another system I have to learn? It isn't. It's a notification.

Every conversation

Texts, DMs, webchat and email in one thread per person — and you can step into any of them mid-sentence.

Anything awaiting you

Tomorrow's post, a reply going out under your name. Approving is a thirty-second job at the lights, which is the only reason approvals survive past week two.

The boards

Who's new, who's gone quiet, who owes you money. The whole state of the directory in one screen you can read standing up.

The directory's number

Calls and texts to the directory land here, not on your personal cell. Turn it off at six and the missed-call text still goes out.

05 — What it costs

Thirty days free. Then a flat fee, plus what you use.

Setup $800 $0 — a launch special while we take on our first directories. It is the whole build: your events wired up, your members brought across, the twelve sequences installed and running before you log in.
The whole thing First 30 days free, then from$97/month

Everything on this page: nobody chased by hand, nobody leaving without you knowing, nothing sitting unanswered overnight. Which is both boards, the twelve sequences, every member and lead synced, your own sending domain and number, one inbox for texts, DMs and email, the news published under your masthead, your members' posts shared, and the assistant on your site.

On top of that Usage only
Texts Calls Email marketing Posts Chats AI

You only pay for what you actually use, at published rates — so the bill scales with the directory instead of running ahead of it. A quiet month costs you the flat fee and very little else.

One price. No ladder above it.

Nothing is held back for a higher tier — the assistant included, which is the piece your members actually feel. What moves the number is scale, not features: forty thousand members costs more to run than four hundred.

Compare it to what you already spend

Not to a CRM price list. The right comparison is the add-on stack you're already carrying — which still doesn't send a single text message.

06 — Starting

Connected in a day. Live in a week.

01 · THE CALL

Fifteen minutes

What happens today when a payment fails, when a member ignores a lead, and how you know who's about to cancel.

02 · DAY ONE

We wire it up

An API key and a list of webhook addresses pasted into your admin. About an hour of your site's time, and nothing on it changes.

03 · SAME WEEK

It watches first

A day of listening before anything sends. Then we bring your members across — and you approve that list first, because most directories have staff and placeholder records mixed in.

04 · THEN LIVE

The chasing starts

A lead now gets answered in the minutes it's still worth something, not tomorrow. You get a link, and your own members are already moving across the board.

Questions

The ones we always get.

Being straight with you

What this doesn't do.

Better here than in month two. None of it is a technical excuse — each one is a deliberate line, and the reason is next to it.

If any of them is a dealbreaker, say so on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's on the roadmap or simply not the job.

Money We never touch a cardBilling stays in BD, where it belongs. We can see that an invoice failed and chase the member about it; we cannot charge, refund or retry anything.
Records We publish to your site. We don't edit your membersNews and posts go up — that's what you're paying for. Changing somebody's plan, status or details from the board is deliberately switched off until it's been tested on your particular site.
Plan You need Builder or aboveThat's the plan where BD turns on API access and webhooks — the two things this runs on. On Essentials, or some lifetime-deal tiers, the upgrade is step one and we'll say so before you spend anything.
Size A small directory doesn't need thisIf you know every member by name and nothing gets missed, you don't have a follow-up problem yet. We'll tell you that on the call rather than sell you a machine to do a job you're already doing.
Data Your members stay yoursExportable at any time, including on the way out. Your directory remains the record of truth; this is a copy that does the chasing.
See it on your own site

Your directory stays yours. The work doesn't.

Fifteen minutes, no deck. Tell us what happens today when a renewal fails and when a lead goes unanswered, and we'll show you the same events landing somewhere that acts on them. The $800 setup is free while we're launching and the first thirty days are free, so the only thing you're risking is the quarter of an hour.
